Weather-Related Training Cancellations - Policy Statement

At our training facility, the safety of students and staff is our top priority. As a precaution, all in-truck training will be suspended when temperatures fall to -30°C or below. Extreme cold can pose significant safety hazards and may cause mechanical issues with training vehicles.

In addition, in-truck sessions will be automatically cancelled during official severe weather warnings, regardless of the temperature. This ensures that training only takes place under safe and reliable conditions.

If a Cancellation Occurs, Here’s What to Expect:

You’ll be contacted directly.
Our office will reach out to you by phone or text as soon as a cancellation decision is made.

We’ll reschedule your session.
A new training date will be arranged based on your availability and the next suitable opening.

You won’t need to follow up.
We’ll handle all coordination and keep you informed every step of the way.

We understand that unexpected situations may arise, but once a student confirms their training schedule, attendance is required. Your commitment ensures that our instructors’ time is respected and that training operations run smoothly.

To manage scheduling fairly and efficiently, the following policy applies:

Need to Cancel? Please Let Us Know in Advance.

  • minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule any confirmed training session.

  • If less than 24 hours’ notice is provided, the full lesson fee will be charged, regardless of the reason.

Why This Policy Matters

This policy helps us:

  • Respect our instructors’ time and ensure they are compensated appropriately

  • Maintain an efficient and fair training schedule for all students

  • Minimize disruptions and unused training slots

To secure your spot in any of our training programs, a 30% deposit of the total program fee is required at the time of booking.

This deposit ensures your place in the program and allows us to prepare the necessary resources for your training, including scheduling instructors, vehicles, and materials.

We understand that circumstances may change, and students may need to withdraw from a program. Our return policy ensures transparency and fairness in managing cancellations and refunds.

Withdrawal After Training Has Begun

If a student decides to discontinue their training after any portion of the program has started, the following charges will apply:

  • Hourly Billing: All completed training hours—including in-vehicle, in-yard, and in-class instruction—will be billed at $120 per hour

  • Administrative Fee: A $250 administration fee will also be applied to cover processing and scheduling costs

Any remaining balance after these deductions will be refunded to the student.

Withdrawal Before Training Begins

If a student chooses to cancel their enrollment before any training has commenced, the following applies:

  • $250 cancellation administration fee will be charged

  • The remaining balance of any payment made will be refunded in full
